Since August 2009, The University Clinic Tuebingen and Microsalt have started to collaborate on defining a research in order to assess the effectiveness of Dry Salt Aerosol Inhalation on people suffering from respiratory discomforts.

So far this has resulted in a pilot study with a small group of people suffering from cystic fibrosis. The study was ended in february 2010. With this pilot study the UKT has received a good understanding of what Microsalt Dry Salt Aerosol solutions can offer for this type of patients.

UKT and Microsalt are planning additional researches in the near future to further extend the knowledge about what Dry Salt Aerosol Inhalation can do on various target groups.
